Heavy Trigger Pull on an A-Bolt

I need to lighten the trigger on my Browning A-Bolt in .270 Win. Has anybody ever sucessfully done this?

Any insight would be great.

Brownell's sells a replacement trigger return spring that'll lighten it up some. Won't give you the adjustment range of a Remmy 700, Win 70, Tikka, etc,. etc., but you might be able to get it down to an "acceptable" pull.

I've used this man's springs on a few of my rifles, and I've been very satisfied with them and highly recommend them. They're also less expensive than Brownells.

hoghunting: Thanks for the link! I've been trying to help a friend of mine who owns an A-bolt with his trigger pull, to no avail, so far.

You're welcome. I have been very pleased with his springs and they are less expensive than most others. When I find someone with a good quality product at a great price, I enjoy sharing that info.

I usually give Brownell's an "A+" rating, but their prices, even with my discount, are way out of line for their Browning trigger-fix springs.
