Feeding problems with Win. Mod 190 Semi

First, let me say this is not a high end rifle. I bought it as a rode hard and put away wet .22 rifle. I had some feeding issues with it from the git go. I replaced the follower housing which was broken. It was done by a professional. He did some other things to improve the tube magazine feed on it. I took it to the range and it will fire semi auto for two rounds. If I load only two rounds. Sometimes as many as three. But if I load more than that it will not feed the first, second, or third round etc. I am beginning to wonder if the magazine spring is the culprit. I would appreciate any and all suggestions. The rifle shoots where you point it. I would just like to be able to load it and shoot it. Thanks for your time.
