Anyone have some pointers on what I need to start this? I've reloaded for a few years now but it's all been smokeless powder. What's the basic procedure and what do you recommend manual wise?

Specifically, what calibers are you wanting to load? and what do you want to do with them?

Maybe to give you a head start. Some "regular" reloading manuals have information on loading black powder also. Check the ones you have.

The Lyman cast bullet handbook is great also.

I guess once I get in to it, I'll load for a few calibers, namely 45-70, .45 LC, and maybe some others. I'll be using it for fun more than anything else. I've briefly looked through the manuals I currently have and they're somewhat lacking in information.
