rifling twist rates and bullet weights?? Need Help!

My Remington 700 chamber in .223 has a 1 in 12" twist rate.

For accuracy, should the bullet weights be lower or higher for this twist rate?

I can never remember if bullet weights should be higher for more twist or less twist.

Can someone help me out here?

My $.02: I'd suspect you'll have more luck with the lighter bullets. Some .223(s) have faster twist rates for heavier bullets. Savage, for example, uses 1:9" for .223

"Slower" twist rates generally like lighter bullets...."faster" rates generally like heavier bullets. At least, that is the "rule of thumb".

Here is another link. Read the whole thing and then use the Greenhill formula to figure out the best bullet length for your twist rate. Once you have the length, you can start looking at bullets to see what weights work best. Then start testing a few different bullets

The Greenhill formula is a good guide.

Longer bullets need a faster twist.
