pistol fires from the half cocked position
My revolver is able to fire from the half cocked position. I know that it's a
dangerous situation. Is a part worn that can be replaced to stop this from happening?? |

On this forum I assume the gun is a Colt SAA or a copy. Yes, it is dangerous, but I can't tell long distance if the problem is a broken notch in the hammer, a worn or broken sear, or both. I would obtain both a new sear (trigger) and hammer just in case.

Replace the parts. You do not want that pistol going off as you cap it.
