Can 9mm 1911 be converted to shoot .38 super. ??

I have a question and hopefully somebody here can help me with it. I own a 9mm Sprinfield Armory 1911 and i have heard about the similarities between 9mm and .38 super in regards to size. How difficult would it be to convert my gun to shoot .38. Super rounds? What would i need to change and has anyone done this or have any experience with this conversion? Thanks for any advice.

All you need is a .38 Super barrel and a couple of .38 Super magazines. The case rim cut on the slide breech face is the same for 9mm and .38 Super, and according to Wolff they both take the same recoil spring.

Patron,
has your SA 1911 worked well for you? What model is it? Is is single stack?

I have had nothing but FT extract issues with two different 1911's in 9mm that I've bought.
