I owned a Benelli M1 super 90 Tactical that I sold about 6 months ago to put a down payment on a motorcycle. I regret selling it and want to buy a new one. My question is this, I know my shotgun (which was post ban) would fire with a shell on the carrier but I had read someplace that the latest production will not do this. Can anyone confirm this? If this is true I will spend my money on somthing else. Thanks for any replies.

Well, the M1-S90 I bought at the Reno Gunshow on Friday can fire with one on the carrier. I bought it "Used" but it was virtually unfired. the serial number is in the M357XXX range.

Hemphill, I am pretty sure that serial number makes yours a fairly recent post ban gun. I have an old pre-ban and a late model and both of mine shoot with one on the carrier.
