My First Pocket Pistol!
Well the wily sales people at my LGS tricked me into buying another gun. And by that I mean, it was sitting there behind the glass and I just had to have it.
So, I came home with a beretta 950bs (aka jetfire). I was on the way home from the range, but new(to me) pistol in hand and their last two boxes of .25acp...well I had to go back to the range! The little thing is surprisingly fun to shoot, minus the minor case of slide bite(first time for everything I suppose) I got when I rested my thumb on the safety as I would holding a 1911 |

I have one of those in 22 short and love it. After about 50 or so rounds it gets a little finicky from powder build up in the chamber. Not sure if the 25 acp would be the same way.

If it does, I didn't shoot enough for it to happen, I only shot about 40 rounds. However the manual(which I think covers both calibers), does indicate specifically cleaning the barrel after each use.

I have an Astra Cub in .22 Short and it's a neat little shooter. Surprisingly well made for something that probably cost my late sister less than $50 in the early 70s.

Pocket pistol sounds too generic. How about mouse gun. My Beretta 21A 25ACP (AKA Bobcat) DA/SA with a condition one (Jeff Cooper) safety and tilting barrel is one of the many Beretta products I like. But some changes/improvements would be nice. A Glock type metal treatment called Tennifer (Austria version) would be nice making it virtually rust proof. I tend to get rust more on this pistol than any other most likely because of it’s placement.

Hehe, how about shrew gun! Hopefully rust won't be an issue, being that I live in the desert and all.

I own a couple of these jewells- my Father left me a Minx (Model 950B in .22 short), and then I went out and got a 950BS Minx in 4" barrel. Then I added my Tomcat as one of my CC/BU guns.
Can you tell I like the tip-up barrel? |

I love the 950 I have 2 1 American made and on Italy Also a model 20 Think Jrtfire in DA/SA Use the 950 mags and is thin like the 950. I have 2 of the 21 's in 22LR But their larger, weight more and thicker .Than the 950 or the model 20 .
All mine relieable and gun pistols . One of the 21 A 's get shot 1 or 2 rounds every day . I live in country and use to call my dog home when he's out running in field or woods . He hears shot and heads for home.

Love the 950BS Jetfire. I was fortunate to find one new in the box, never fired for $225. It is a blast to shoot. Much easier to shoot than my baby Brownings. Great little gun.

My pocket pistol is the LCP .380 from Ruger. Not fond of the way it fits in my hand, but until I get something else, it will do.

Update:
When I bought this, the intention wasn't for carry but just because I thought it was neat. However, I have ended up carrying it quite a bit due to the ease of carry. It's not going to replace my primary ccw, but it sure makes a fine addition and option. So far I am pretty fascinated by its mechanics, almost no rails, but no sign of wear on the slide or frame, little torsion spring instead of coil spring for a recoil spring. Just plain neat. |

The 950 Berettas are near the pinnacle of .22/25 pocket guns.
The .25 has more M/E in the very short barrels than the .22 lr., BTW. The 21 series is generally not as reliable as the smaller 950s. |

The 950b is a truly awesome little pistol. I take mine EVERYWHERE.
I have never had any issue with it at all and it has proven to be completely reliable. Mine is chambered for 6.35 (.25acp) too. PS, that little gun is gonna spoil you, it will make your normal carry pistol seem cumbersome. Be warned

Count me as being on the bandwagon. I don't carry mine anymore (the Ruger LCP takes its place) but I've carried it many, many times.

I usually carry a ruger LCP, but have carried my jetfire on many occasions. 9 rounds of .25 doesn't make me feel undergunned in the slightest.
