I'd it is the CHF version, I have found mine to be very accurate. Mine is not free floated either.
Free floating does not necessarily give better accuracy, but it prevents outside forces from affecting the barrel harmonics. Things like shooing from a rest or bipod can put pressure on the bottom of the handguard which affects barrel harmonics, which can cause impact shift down range, a free float prevents this. The Samson evo free float rail uses the stock barrel nut, so if you are handy with a dremel tool, and careful, you can remove the delta ring assembly and not need to remove the barrel to replace the barrel nut to free float the rifle. |

I love my WOA 18" went with midlength gas system. Next upper I build I'm going to have a look at the Daniel Defense cold hammer forged chrome lined 18 spr barrel.
I also went with a lightweight handguard: MI Gen2 SS rail. I like it but wouldn't use one if you'd ever plan on using rail mounted sights and have them be accurate. The rail flexes easily. It works great for me as I have no irons on my SPR. If I had that to do over I'd go with a Troy Bravo rail like I have on my pistol. |
