Is there a difference between American Eagle and Federal Champion HV?

As the title states; is there a difference between American Eagle and Federal Champion HV?

Both 1240 fps, both LRN bullet, same specs all around.
What I understand from Federal's website is that the American Eagle line is a "budget" line and Champion more of a premium line, but other than that I can't find a difference.

A gunstore I will be going to has them for the exact same price, so I am wondering which one is better quality.

Has anyone tried them both and seen a noticeable difference in performance?

Would you pick the American Eagle or the Federal Champion HV?

What surprises me is that the AE line is promoted as a budget plinking line, but it is often priced slightly higher than the Champion.

I'm primarily interested in the reliability of these ammo types, since my rifle shoots almost anything well.

Anyone else care to comment on the reliability of EA vs FC?

I've used both for accuracy testing, I have never seen much difference between them. Both are very accurate, very consistent. I prefer the AE plated over the LRN, but to each his own.

No, the plating is for bullet lubrication, it is very thin, so you get rid of the greasy/waxy bullet lube, and the gun stays cleaner longer. Just my experience.

We're using Champion plated HP at this time since I bought several 5250 round cases before the mania. They're accurate enough and seem to handle small game OK. The coating is about as thin as possible-at least not gummy like wax. Son has some AE but we've not tested them side by side.
