battery terminals

Mike, the terminals and cable ends are generally considered pure lead (or verrrrrrry close to it). They would be good for muzzleloaders without mixing anything else into the melt. If you are casting for handguns or rifles, you would want to mix in some tin and antimony to harden up your alloy.

Just STAY AWAY FROM USING BATTERY INNARDS! They contain cadmium and melting them down will put you in the hospital in a real hurry. Highly toxic!
