Ted Williams/Win 12-1300 differences.
Hey guys, I've got a Ted Williams model 200.. here's a crappy cell phone pic of it.
as I understand it, the Ted williams was made for sears by winchester and is basically just a model 1200 clone. Well as it turns out I've discovered at least one difference. The rear of the reciever is not cut out like the 1200..i suspect in an effort to cheapen it up they just skipped that step. This made attaching the stock thats designed for a 1200 is a very big ordeal. I was able to get it on and secure, but it took an hour at the bench grinder and it sure isn't as pretty as I would like. My main concern now is that I had been planning on adding this mag tube extension... but I don't want to order it to just find out it wont fit http://www.midwayusa.com/product/601...-5-round-black Anyone have any experiance with this? Thanks, Beech
