This extreme two-day event for security personnel tasked with high-risk protection duties will teach modern strategies and tactics for employing personal small arms in crisis situations. Participants will experience intense live fire instruction and practical application in either advanced pistol skills, advanced carbine skills, or both, combined with state-of-the-art tactics related to close protection operations, convoy security, and resource protection. Topics addressed will include weapon system & equipment considerations, overt and covert carry techniques, team-oriented weapon manipulations and tactics, proper application of suppressive fire, countering close quarter attacks, near attacks, and sniping/harassing fire, “cold deployment” drills, injured manipulations, advanced movement and shooting on the move tactics, bilateral shooting skills, transition drills, low-light operations, and handgun/long-gun combatives. After honing weapon skills and tactical applications, the class will engage in realistic force-on-force exercises and tactical drilling using dye-marking cartridges. Scenarios thrown at participants working solo and in pairs will include urban assaults, vehicle ambushes, escape and evasion under fire, personnel abductions, rescue operations, and more.
