Looking for a used lathe to do some hobby gunsmithing. Anyone know of a place online that has used equipment?

BB, you might keep an eye on E-bay and www.machinetoolsauctions.com also there is a page called Pat's Big Page of Links at http://www.angelfire.com/ks/mcguirk/...bulletinboards where you'll find several sites that sell used equipment. George

Oh man, there are hundreds of used machine tool dealers on the web. Probably your best bet is to do a Google search for used machine tool dealers and pick one that is relatively close to you to save on shipping costs.
Also, I would recommend you join the rec.crafts.metalworking newsgroup and get some recommendations on reputable dealers. This link is to the FAQ of the newsgroup: http://asuwlink.uwyo.edu/~metal/ This link also has information associated with the newsgroup: http://metalworking.com/ Right now is a buyers market! Lots of bankruptcy liquidations and so there are a lot of machine tools on the market. |

lathe
Dear Sir:
I bought a Grizzly 12x36 several years ago and have nothing but praise for their products and warranty! It had a 3 jaw on it and it ran out .001TIR! It was $2000.00 and $300.00 shipping; I cannot recomend it too highly. It comes complete, 4 jaw, chucks, tapers, tools etc. |
