Heh, my first thought was, "Try the dictionary!" But then I checked it. Here's what Google says:

Quote:
noun /ōˈjīv/
ogives, plural

1. A pointed or Gothic arch

2. One of the diagonal groins or ribs of a vault

3. A thing having the profile of an ogive, esp. the head of a projectile or the nose cone of a rocket

4. A cumulative frequency graph
So I guess the dictionary might not have been any help!

the shape of the bullet as seen from the side

the ogive of a full metal jacket bullet would be rounded and pointy, a truncated cone would be something like a lampshade

The forum is: http://forum.accurateshooter.com

I had tried "Bullet" as the answer and it was rejected; however, I tried it again just now, and I am registered. I believe that my first entry of "bullet" was compromised by some of my first guesses before I could figure out what they meant. I think not having cleared my browsers history got me.

The upside of this is that I've learned some things about "bullet ogive". Enter "bullet ogive" into your search engine - it is enlightening. You'll find such information as: http://www.corbins.com/minwt.htm, http://blog.sinclairintl.com/2009/03...seating-depth/, etc.

In any case, thank you all for your inputs.
