Seeing Some

Seeing some deer in decent numbers the last couple of days. Most of them have been does but finally saw a young buck last night. If he can make the season and maybe next he'll be a decent one. 4/6 with a spindly rack but he was real tall for one of our swamp goats. Saw 9 yesterday in the thick stuff, hard hunting with so much cover still up on th trees.

I was getting set to crawl out of my stand yesterday morning at about 10:00am. Zipped up my bag put up my binoculars, and unchmbered the round in my rifle. I had just grabbed the safety rope to tie off and lower my rifle and looked back toward the feed pile and had one standing there looking back at me. It was a doe but it just goes to show, you never know what's going to happen from one minute to the next while deer hunting.
