Show off your "rattle-can" paint jobs!!

my wife did something very cruel and unusual to me, she quit smoking.....

I have always told her, "well....when you quit, i'll quit". well, she quit like 5 months ago, I ran out of excuses. yesterday was day three, and it was my first day off work since quitting. I have no prob not smoking at work, but at home, by myself at that, it's darn near impossible. so after mowing an acre of grass, cleaning the house, organizing the "gun room", I had idle hands. and this is what happened.......

base of just krylon dual "pearl"

then just random hit with this aluminum color

this is where it got interesting

now, I should of stopped here, it lookd pretty good after this. but I wanted to kind of tome down the pattern a little, so I just kinda of oversprayed with the aluminum color again. out in the sun, the aluminum did not seem very shiny and almost translucent. but after drying, it looks like a robo-cop snakeskin kinda......it's a little much. maybe it'll grow on me or i'll just start over.

but hey, I could have the last laugh.....you never know when you'll have to go "ghost" in a cannery or a recycling center......monster truck rally maybe?

interested in your "rattle-can" backyard paint jobs.

That looks awesome, especially the parts on the Upper.

I'm not a huge fan of such patternd paint jobs, but I have to say this looks as good or better than a few "professional" options I have seen advertised. Wondering how it will hold up though.

Aervoe OD green. No camouflage pattern needed. OD green works surprisingly well in all North American terrains. Very tough paint too.

Not a bad look.

You've probably seen this on the forum before, but it's always a classic....

Beer + time + trying to get the wife to hunt + some more beer ...gets you:

That which we lovingly called "The Flamer"

.

(The shots with the wood stock are AFTER the camo paint jobs were stripped [there was an 'arctic camo' paint job under the pink, from a previous owner].)

My wife hated the rifle, and hated the paint job even more. So, since no one else would hunt with it... I did. I know I have a picture of that rifle (in pink) on top of a field-dressed antelope, posted here on TFL, but I'll be darned if I can find it.

Remington 700 SPS, wearing a B&C Medalist, Vortex Viper PST and CDI Precision bottom metal. I got a little carried away with this rifle.

You sure you guys don't do graffiti for a hobby? That's some pretty nice work for a spray can....
I'm jealous, I also know that I'd lose my rifle if I painted it camo. I'm going to enjoy from a distance.
I did spray black my old Marlin biathlon rifle barrel/action using Brownell's gun black. I'd post a pic, except a) I sold the rifle and b) solid, flat black is pretty mundane. Thinking about it now; I should have gone for the flame camo.

I don't have any rifles, but will a shotgun do?

Did that about 35 years or so ago...the picture is probably 8 years old or so. Finish got worn. I had some stuff called "Bowdull"...it worked.
