M1A: How to remove stripper-clip guide and install ARMS #18 mount.
Is this something that can be done by a kitchen table smith? How do I remove the pin that retains the guide, and do I drift the guide off to the right or to the left when removing?
Any special considerations to the ARMS #18 mount? I've heard that there are some bumps installing these on cast receivers like Armscorp and Springfield produce. |

The pin is a 3/32" x 9/16" roll pin. Drive it out from the inside of the receiver with a #3 size roll pin punch. The stripper clip guide will come out by drifting from the right towards the left.
Can't be of any help with the ARMS #18, sorry.
