Two new 1911's .....
added to my 1911 family. Well I lucked out and got this Kimber Custom II, for a real good deal. I haven’t shot her yet. But the owner of this 1911 barely used her. I can’t find any wear on her. I’m looking at changing out the sights for something to help out in low light/hi Viz. I installed I set of VZ grips I had laying around. I’ll follow up after I get some rds thru her to and pictures after I decide which sights I go with.
with VZ grips sharing the pic with my new STI Trojan. Cheers Ron |

Handsome looking guns.
The sights are something I take notice of whenever I check out a gun. I'll be interested in what you decide on and how they work out for you. Again, nice guns. |

Nice firearms. Not familiar with the Trojan but that Kimber looks like a really fine 1911.

DaleA, I decided to go with a Harrison rear night sight for the STI. I've had one of their sets on my SA RO, and the workmanship and quality is outstanding.
As far as the Kimber goes, I'm going with TRU glo Tritium night set. I'll post pictures once I get them installed. Cheers Ron Last edited by SAS Phantom; January 28, 2014 at 04:24 PM. |
