Armadillo trouble
I have an Armadillo burrowing under my barn. I can't seem to catch him in my sights. What can I use for bait to set him up for a shot?

Baiting dillers is a tuff job. They eat worms and grubs mostly. The dillar eradicating I did was done in the late afternoon with .22 and pellet gun. I was after large populations that had colonies leaving ankle breaking holes all over where I was running hog dogs in the dark. For such a limited problem you may have to track his schedule by putting some leaves at his entrance or fluffing the soil to get an idea if he hunting by day or night. Set up a comfy yard chair and pick him off that way.

Have you thought of smoking him out / suffocating him with the smoke?

When an Armadillo starting digging a hole under the slab of my house, I filled the first hole back in. A few nights later he had dug the hole back out. I filled the hole back in and set a hav-a-heart trap where the hole had been. He didn't try to dig anymore. After a couple of weeks I removed the trap and he still hasn't been back. I guess he got the message I didn't want him digging there!

Catch him and mail it to me, I always wanted one as a pet after seeing Chuck Norris have one in the beginning of Missing In Action III.
