Savage Model 14 American Classic
Hey all,
Thinking about picking up a Savage Model 14 in 7mm-08. I have almost every other American made brand and was wondering if anybody can post what they have found with Savage equipment. Also Have been eyeballing Tikka in 25-06 for another one to pick up. All comments either good or bad about either firearm or either round will be taken in for my decission. Thanks a bunch, Smedley Put in at the bench and send down the barrel. |

While Savage doesn't carry the deep bluing and highly-figured walnut of many of the more expensive brands, it can, and will, shoot as well - or better - than the others. Once you've experienced a Savage - you'll wonder why you spent all that other money!
Yeah, I kinda like 'em, myself!

Savage fan
Smedley, I have four Savages, 110 in 7 rem mag,11f in 300wsm. 12 bull barrel in 22-250 and 111 in 25-06. They all shoot sub moa except the 7 rem. It is an older model (ten yrs). The actions are rough, they are ugly as sin. But they will out shoot most everything out there and are not particular about what I feed em. Best trigger ever made in the accu-trigger and they are not fussy what I feed em either. My two cents.
