Huge Boom and Big Clouds of Smoke!!!!

OK, so hey, you have to have fun with your firearms, don't you? Safety first, as always, of course, but come on...admit it...it is just plain fun firing things that go "bang" or "boom" loudly and pump out the smoke?

Check out this short video on the Glock 20 featuring slow motion of it being fired with heavy Buffalo Bore rounds.

Watched the video, that Buffalo Bore ammo is for real. The BB 180 JHP aveages 1380 fps/ 761 fpe in my S&W 1026 with 5" barrel...ymmv

great video, although id be afraid that smoke could obscure the percieved threat. Would have a 10mm glock myself if the ammo wasnt so hard to come by and expensive. Its a great round i think.

Well they if the ammo cost is of issue you should take up casting bullets and handloading!

The smoke is most likely from the lube buffalo bore uses on their hard cast ammo. Should make for great deer medicine.

Where is the cheapest factory firsts full-power 10mm found?

I've got a Glock 21, I should get the conversion for it.
Doubt I'd shoot it a lot, but it could be fun on occasion.

I love 10mm but its so hard to find cartridges without ordering online.

The 10mm might just be the near perfect round.
It can be loaded anywhere from a .40 to a .41 Mag.
But a heavier 1911, with a better grip angle and trigger, would be my own choice of gun for it.
Thanks heaps for making me think about getting a new shootin' iron.

Just curious, why do you not like to order online?

I do nearly all of my ammo buying online.

No sales tax and I can get what I want, etc.

*Most* places are reasonable with shipping.

I end up saving money because usually I can get online ammo cheaper per round, even with shipping and I watch for deals like free shipping from Sportsmen Guide, etc.

Agreed. I likey the big boom, and consider big bore plinking my favorite. I like the 10mm but am so wrapped up in 44 Spec., 44 Mag, 45 Colt, and 454 Casull that it would be stretching it to add another caliber.

Readily available ammo is also a big concern for me, as well as others. If I went 10mm I'd need moulds, sizing dies, brass and all of that because I cast and reload 99.9% of all my ammo.

For someone who doesn't have the time or inclination to cast and handload, the 10mm may be not such a good choice imo.

Underwood Ammo is more reasonably priced. At least for the full tilt stuff. Anyone that has a 10mm, or is interested in the round is really doing themselves a disservice by not re-loading their own rounds.

Easy now I love me a 10mm too but a 41mag it aint. The only way it even comes close if you compare max loaded 10mm to the lightest 41 mag load available and even then the 41mag has a slight edge.

Hope you replaced the factory Glock barrel with a real one that has been heat treated ! lonewolff has them.

Too bad PROLOAD doesnt make 10mm ammo any more..thet were the first US manufacturer of 10mm ....it was every bit as hot as NORMA ...and every bit equal to .41Mag ballistics.

I have taken Antelope out to 125 yards with 10mm PROLOAD...drop ike you hit the off switch ! Both Gold DOT and XTP versions.
