Chokes for a Stoeger 2000
I recently Purchased a Stoeger 2000, (I didn't shoot it yet), and got 5 chokes with it. 4 have stamped on the choke what they are, but 1 is black,(with the other 4 being silver). When I screw it into the barrel, about 1 inch sticks out. Is it the extra full, and is it susposed to stick out? Thanks, Antique Shooter

It should say what it is, length has nothing to do with it - it's just an extended choke tube that allows you to use your hands to screw and unscrew as opposed to using a wrench

It screwes in, but it doesn't go flush with the barrel, there's like a 1/8inch gap between the choke and actual barrel. Is that fine????

I have a set of custom seminole chokes for my browning gold,, and there is a small gap between the barrel and knurled part of the choke tube.. don't worry about that space, but keep a constant check on the choke tightness.. mine will loosen up after the barrel gets hot and cool over and over again.

My Brileys that I have from my Brownings, Remington 1100, SKB, etc., are all extended and the knurled part you tighten with seats tight against the barrel. You might double check that the choke is seating flush against the skirt inside the barrel

You can see on the above pic, that the black one has a darker ring around it, that is the part that is out, its not threaded, so I think it is susposed to be that way.
