So I need some work done on a S/A Ultra-Compact...

I would like some recommendations for gunsmiths that you have used (please do not recommend the gunsmith guild). There must be hundreds of guys who have had 1911 work done and if you had a good "personal" experience, I would like to hear about it and get a referral from you.

I am looking to have sights installed, MSH replaced, refinishing, and whatever else needs to be done to make the piece as reliable as it can be.

Thanks for your input!

Peter:
Although I don't work there any more (retired) I would say to send it to Novaks 45 Shop in Parkersburg WVa. My late sons (killed by a low-life piece of %$%^^*&%*^ drunk) son Dustin is there and can fix you up fine. Call 1-304-485-9295 ask for him.
