I am very interested in all John Browning designed firearms. Been looking particularly at new manufacture Model 1895 in 30-06. Winchester apparently makes this gun now and Browning made a run of it in 1984, approximately 1,000. I have located each. Which would be the better buy from a collectible and shootable stand point? Which is better in terms of quality? Each is in the $600-$650 range. Any opinions you guys might have would be greatly appreciated.

I think you will find that both guns are made in Japan by the same firm, only the name stamped on the barrel is changed.
