Source for 16 guage hulls?

I'm looking for a good source for 16 guage hulls. For loading, do they have to be once fired (my machine is a Lee Load All)? Anywhere I could get these other than what I have from shot ammo? Seems all everyone wants to sell is 12.

The 16 guage has lost a lot over the years as far as popularity. Personally, I always loved it. I think you will have a hard time finding any quantity of once fired shells for it. I guess you will just have to save yours and keep your eyes open for a deal. Best of luck though

shot shells

You might try E-bay--there are pages of once fired shot shells and brass there.

Sundog, thankyou! Thats an awesome find! I bookmarked the page! Now my next question is do I need once fired hulls to load with a Lee Load All?

One more question. Do they need to be once fired hulls? If not why do reloading catalogs sell once fired? Is loading a new hull much different?

I think once-fired are best because they already have been crimped by the factory and will take a homespun crimp better. If they bwere never-fired there'd be no crimp for your reloader to lock onto in order to remake a perfect crimp. You might get a less-then-perfect crimp if your little home reloader tries to invent a factory-perfect-made-on-expensive-equipment crimp like you get from the manufacturer.
