Somebody either stop me or give me instructions. I've got a powerful urge to do some home gunsmithing on my CCW piece. I'm thinking about removing the hammmer spur.

Ckurts, I've bobbed several J frames and found out early on that you need to leave roughly an 1/8" of the spur in order to have enough weight for the pistol to fire consistently. The factory replacement hammers are designed a little differently and that's why they can get by with the smooth or flat back of the hammer. If you go too far you'll wind up replacing it. George
