Anybody loading Hornady FTX's in 44 mag?
Just thinking I'd like to order some of these and try them in the redhawk. Hornady has data on there site for other cals and are supposed to put up 44 cal data up soon. What would I need to seat the FTX's? My 44 dies just have a "flat" cup in them.

44
Tried them in .444 Marlin and in .44 Ruger SA and did not like them.
I used flat seater die as the tips do have a "sponginess" to them. In my loads I found them inconsistant in .444 and in SA Ruger seating depth must be extremely deep. :barf:

I had issues with the FTX being too long for stock brass.
When you buy the bullets the brass is shorter than standard brass.. Doug |

Hornady suggests to trim .010 under SAAMI max specs ( at least for the 30-30)
