Good Scope for my Saiga 7.62
I just bought a Saiga 7.62x39. This is my first tactical/assult style rifle. I'm planning to do the conversion as soon as I'm comfortable. For now though, I'd like some optics for some 200, maybe 300 yard shots. I've been looking at some compact scopes and I like the NCSTAR Mark III that is on ebay/gunbroker for anywhere from $90 used to $130 new. There's also another NCSTAR model that's around $50. I'd really like something with some decent magnification, like the NCSTAR that is 3-9, I'd like to steer clear of a fixed power, like a 4x32. Any advice on some NCSTAR models or any other brand? Thanks!

FWIW, I tried a scope on my Saiga .223 and really didn't like the overall feel of the setup. It shot ok, just didn't seem tacticool enuff. Anyway went to a cheaper red dot type sight as a trial and have since put one on my SKS as well. I may not be able to shoot MOA at 100yds but can fill a pie plate at 200yds. Kinda fits the scheme of the carbine if you ask me.

Your first NcStar will (probably) be your last. And not because it worked well.
