Refinishing a handgun questions...

Here is a good thread:

http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...light=Gun-Kote

BUT:

1) Is an external mix brush good for this? The thread has the Badger 250.

2) Anyone have experience using a toaster oven? (My oven is off limits, and my 'buddy' who had a spare one got rid of it). I figure I can use three bullets under the frame at points that will not show to prop it up.

3) Anyone use other than 120 grit Al oxide?

4) What does one really want to mask? CZ coats guns pretty thick - the person on the thread did some of the internals, etc. What does one stay away from finishing?

5) Anyone have experience with long term durability of GK (home brew)?

Thanks.

I've heard of making an oven with a toaster oven (the element and thermostat) and a locker........sounds like it will work. Hope so anyway, my oven is probably off limits too.
