Old Remington

I just got a Remington Model 11 "Sportsman" for christmas and i wanted to know what year it was made. The serial number is 511953, i couldnt find anything on the internet, but im not really sure what to look for. I know they stopped making them in 1947 so im sure its before that but id like a better knowledge of what year. On the left side of the barrel it has "OFX full Q" im not sure what that means, maybe someone else has a better idea

Using this...

...scrolling down to Remington serial number lookup...

...your shotgun was mfg'd in 1937. As the F, or second letter in the string of your letters OFX, represents the year 1937.

.

The DOM is July, 1937 ("O"=7th month; "F" = 1937).
