Favorite vibratory media mix?
For cleaning 40 30-06 cases at a time in a small vibratory case cleaner? Thanks...

I go to the pet store and get a 30-40 lb. bag of ground walnut hulls. They sell it for lining the bottom of bird cages.
I put that in my cleaner and use Dillon Rapid Polish and run it for an hour or so to get the cleaner/polish mixed into the media. Tumble the cases for an hour or two and you are good to go. You can buy media at most any Sportsman, Cabelas or Bass Pro, but you will pay through the nose for it. I get mine at PetSmart and save some money and I am getting about 40 lbs at a time rather than the measly jar at the LGS. Geetarman |

I like fine grit walnut media (24/40) with NuFinish polish.
Ground walnut bedding from pet store is fine too. Buy whichever is cheaper. Berry's tumbler has 250 round capacity for 30-06 if you have a lot to polish. |

I use a 50/50 blend of corn cobb and crushed walnut(best of both worlds) both from pet supply and nu-finish on sale from Checker. this combo gets you a very nice clean shine fast.

I accidently mixed my corn cob media with my lizzard litter, about 50-50. Works great. I don't like/need any polish or additives in my media so I run it as is...
