Both barrels fire at the same time with each trigger pull. Twice the recoil but since the sights are aligned between the barrels and the barrels are aligned to be parallel rather than converging at a certain distance the accuracy is... mediocre.

Not something I'd want. If I want to be able to pull the trigger 14 times per mag on a 1911 I'll carry my Para P14.45. If I'm pulling the trigger 7 times per mag I'll go with a single stack 1911. At least then the recoil isn't so bad and I know that where I'm pointing is actually where I'm going to hit.

If a range had one for rent I'd give it a whirl just for kicks, otherwise... nah.

Not worth considering. Much better options are available.
If you want to make a statement or get something truly unique, it's the Thunder BMG pistol.

This showed up last year.

I wonder what a clearance drill looks like when one barrel/side has a problem. Bet its no longer a simple TAP/RACK/BANG. Reloading is probably an interesting exercise, too.

The whole design seems like practical problems waiting to happen.

Walt, it's more for people with more money than sense and nothing else.

I think it's ridiculous, but to each his own I guess. For example, I'd totally be in line for a double barrel pump action shotgun.

How much? And, where can you buy one?

Half the AR15's I see these days are just as silly....and let's not talk about "The Judge" or he Magnum Research "BFR"

So, if it is to .45s stuck together, does that mean I shoot a .90?

I'm filled with an inexplicable desire for the thing....if only to abuse the mall ninjas and thier Glocks with how manly I am.

Is one barrel enough? Yes. Except for when it isn't.

I'd buy one in a second just to have it, if I could afford one.

If all I ever bought were practical firearms I'd have tapped out of the hobby long ago.

Well, I buy practical firearms, but they usually aren't practical to me, because I already have something similar. In this case the firearm itself is rather impractical.

I can see the movie -- a sort of "Back to the Future" -- and the gunfighter scenes using 1911s instead of old Colts... except Marty McFly has a dual rig with 2011s on each side...
