Where can I get a Springfield M1861, M1863 or M1864 bbl?

I believe it is Whitacre (sp?) that makes various model rifled musket barrels for competition. Go to the NSSA site and there should be a link to them.

I did a quick check and here is the link to Whitacre Barrels
http://www.whitacresmachineshop.com Lodgewood and S & S, as already mentioned, are also good ones to check with. I've dealt with all three of them - top notch folks. Are you looking for a new drop in to shoot or a barrel for "looks"?

thanks everyone
A classmate is looking for a barrel to make a rifle with. His goal is to make a flintlock with a 500 yard range of a minie gun.
I told him with an Enfield barrel, he could reach out even more.

Hawg - he wants to make a Brown Bess lookalike but a rifled barrel. Sneaky if he's going for top shot in a smoothbore match.
