Loading 7,62X25 Tokarev
Hello I will Load slightly Bullets with 55 grain how many Alliant Bullseye Powder i can load max. for the tokarev tt33????

This data says with a 53 grain Bullet can i loading 5,2 grain Bullseye Powder is it the maximum for the tt33 ?

Stay away from the sabot load. I doubt you could hit the side of a barn from inside! You'd be better off with one of the other bullets, 85, 90 grains are the standard load.
also, bullseye is the worst powder for use in this high intensity cartridge. Better to use one of the slower burn rate powders, like AA#7, AA#9, or blu-dot.

I will loading not Sabot i will load a 55 grain THV Bullet i have the Powder bullseye only

Someone who came from there said that S&B 7.62x25mm Tokarev ammo is made with AA#2 powder.
I have no fast way to verify that. That is excellent ammo, and the fired brass is the best. I have found that the best powder for Tokarevs is Power Pistol, which smells and looks just like Bullseye, but is denser and slower burning. It used to be called Bullseye 84. I have ~half a dozen CZ52s, a ~dozen Tokarevs from Chinese military surplus, Chinese commercial, Polish surplus, Russian surplus, and Romanian. I have built a couple scoped rifles to shoot the Tokarev round. I have a broom handle C96 Mauser that shoots Tokarev ammo. I have experimented with H110, AA#9, LIL'GUN, N105, XMP5744, LONGSHOT, Ramshot Enforcer [AA#9 all over again], AA#5, and Power Pistol. For brass I have experimented with S&B pull down Boxer Primed brass [The best], Starline new brass [Good enough], and Polish surplus Berdan primed pull down [No very good]. I have tried the 85 gr, the 86 gr, and the 110 gr bullets. I like the 110 gr the best. I have tried loading the sabots with .224" bullets, and I don't like that. |
