The flash hole in the Winchester WinClean brass is much bigger than that of the Remington and Federal brass I've used. Is this OK to reload?
Search function is down, so I don't know if this has been asked many times before. |

.357SIG,
It's fine. I've been reloading it for months now. Good Luck... Joe

I contacted Winchester tech support...
[quote]Thank you for contacting Winchester Ammunition. We are always glad to hear from our many friends in the shooting sport. The 45 Auto Win Clean and Super Clean NT casings are reloadable. We conducted tests using Winchester components specifically for the reloadability and found no reason why the casings can not be reloaded. The flash hole needed to be enlarged to accommodate the lead-free primer used in the factory round. The most current and extensive reloading data available from Winchester is available at our website http://www.winchester.com under the 'reloader's manual' option. Thank you again for contacting Winchester! Chris Huseman [email protected] Winchester Ammunition [\quote] |

So, has anyone done a side by side comparison? Will loads worked up for "standard" Winchester cases still work the same for Win Clean and Super Clean NT casings? Or is it back to the that old song, "reduce 5% and work up from there".
