Speer 270 Grain Gold Dot?

Was lucky enough to receive a couple of boxes of these from a gent that no longer reloads.
They look like an outstanding choice for 44 Mag deer loads for my Marlin 1894P.
I would be interested in any thoughts or comments on these bullets, particularly powder recommendations. I was planning on starting with H110 but certainly am open to suggestions.
As always, Thanks In Advance, for the responses.
Take Care

I'm trying out the same bullets in the same gun. I let you know how they work out. I'm hoping the flat point GD's will stay together better than hollow points. Just got to get bambi to cooperate. I'm using surplus SP85 powder so no point in sharing my load.

What's SP85? I've been loading with WC820 surplus, never heard of SP85. Gotta love surplus, nothing like 8 pounds of powder for half the price of commercial!

I'm using the 270 gr GDSP in a .44 mag S&W mod 29 w/6" barrel.
Loading 20.0 grs of H110 w/CCI 350 Lge pistol primers in WW brass. Haven't hunted with it yet, but it is an accurate, moderately kicking load at 1250 fps.
