I just bought a 1000 ft. roll of black from www.rangerjoes.com. It's great to have 550 cord round the house as there's MANY uses for it. I've ordered lots of stuff from them and they've always been great.

I buy all my 550 cord from Supply Captain and I tie survival bracelets (used to sell them on eBay) and lanyards for all my knives. I love the stuff. I also frequent Stormdrane's Blog on a regular basis and check out his latest projects. I learned all my knots from him and he has some great tutorials on how to make lots of cool stuff. I am a bit of a para cord freak.

Big +1 on Stormdrane's site. Very very informative and good tutorials. I started doing some lanyards and such a few months ago and it can be quite addicting.

why order online and hassle with shipping when you can just hit up your local military surplus store? Trust me, they always have paracord.

I never fail to find it when I want it from any of the several military surplus stores I visit. My favorite is the OD green. It looks so "military" for any use you put it to. |

In Case
you don't want to make your own, here is a source for premaid cord items.
