Swiss Vetterli lever spring?
I have a Swiss Vetterli 1878 rifle that has a broken lever spring. Anybody know where I can find one or possibly make a one using a substute material? Any tricks?

I did some looking and I not sure about a lever spring, but Numrich lists some parts for the Swiss rifle. You can also check eBay.

I would recommend a call to the Gun Parts folks. They have small quantities of parts not cataloged, which may also not be listed on the website, simply because the small quantity doesn't justify the expense. But they do know what they have, listed, or not.
Pre-internet, I know this was the case. Today, one would expect everything to be listed online (its so easy, right?) but, this may not be the case. A call would probably tell you if so, and if they had any of what you are looking for. E-mail might work too. Just sayin... Good Luck

Can you post a picture of the spring?
Might help someone to figure out how to make it or adapt something.

I'll call Numrich to see if they have one. I will try to post a picture in the near future.

If you have the parts of your old spring, I can make you a new one.

I can work from that, but you might need to hand fit the part.
