I need to shorten the stock on my Benelli by an inch. I'm looking for a good gunsmith that has either done this before or is competent to do it. Thanks.

Seeing that the Benelli is just an expensive imitation of a Beretta 1201 .....
I had Ted Yost, Gunsite Smithy, cut down the stock and install a recoil pad on my 1201. http://www.gunsite.com/Custom_Gun_Sh...tgun_mods.html ------------------ Schmit, GySgt, USMC(Ret) NRA Life, Lodge 1201-UOSSS "Si vis Pacem Para Bellum" |

Buckwheat,
As mentioned, Gunsite's custom shop has done this modification for others in the past. It is a rather tricky job since the Benelli stock is hollow -- they cut down your stock, glue in a "plug" and attach your recoil pad to the "plug". Cost is $110.
