Problem -- SKS was constantly jamming on the first round. Bolt would slam the round into the nice and flat breech rim, and just sit there.

So one afternoon, yesterday in fact, I figured I'd be the smart kid in class and took a dremel to the face of the breech. Polished me up a nice and (rather shallow) feed ramp of sorts. Didn't take off too much metal -- just enough so that the point of the bullet was hitting an angled ramp in instead of a flat face.

So the question is.. did I just screw up?

Hard to screw up a SKS.I don't think you hurt it,in fact probably fixed it.

Kaylee, I doubt you hurt it. The thing to look for would be bulged cases which would be an indication that maybe you went too far with it. Other than that I wouldn't worry about it. George
