I'd like to install a front sight on my pet Winchester Featherweight .308 to use in conjuction with the Warne Rear Peep Base.
The Featherweight barrel wall is about .125" Too thin? Or am I breaking out the silver solder and Pepcin AC as I stress about messing it up... Suggestions/Alternatives appreciated... |

DeBee, I'd go for the sweat on. To avoid scaling the inside of the barrel immerse it in water leaving just the area to be heated exposed. This will keep the rest of the barrel, including the bore, cool. When you done dry completely and oil. George
