Opinions Winchester Super X2 v Browning Gold

I realize they are both owned by the same company and are very similar. I would appreciate hearing any opinions from people who have owned and used these guns. Thanks

I do not own either, but from what I have read, they are the same gun with slightly different feature sets and finish. Pick the one that suits you.

My son has a 12ga. Gold Hunter. I have a Super X2 12ga. and a 20ga. Gold Hunter Classic. They are basically the same gun. I would choose the one that fits best. The Super X2 has a higher rib than the Browning. The Browning has the magazine cut-off option that the Winchester does not have. The gas mechanism is very slightly different.

I believe the Browning may be slightly more refined than the Winchester.

These are superb shotguns and you would be well served by whichever one you chose. I am not sure what your plans are for the gun. Ours are all 3" chambered guns.

All said, if I had to do it over again for similar costs, I would opt for the Winchester Super X2 Sporting Clays model.
Regards,
Rich

I have both and the X2 is my choice, but only because of the rib. Buy the one that looks good under your eye.

I have the Win SX2 and I am quite happy with it. I have read that the Gas Operating Systems are identical between the two shot guns that are in question. The big selling point to me with the SX2 was the enhanced rib.

It is a sweet shotgun imho
