Welcome to the party :-)

Most of it is for big rifles. But if you stay on it, the more desirable powders pop up for a little while before they go out of stock again.

Supplies must be loosening a bit. I picked up 4 pounds of Unique and 4 pounds of HP38 this week

I could be totally incorrect, I have no insider info. But last summer I could always find some pistol powder, whether it be titegroup, HP38 or the like. Then closer to end of summer early fall it was all magnum powders. Then to fall and winter its all small to medium rifle powder. So hopefully as spring nears the small pistol stuff will be put out again. I couldn't find h335 or anything similar a few months ago, now its everywhere. It seems like powder types are seasonal

It does. I think it is, actually.

It's been my experience that pistol powders start showing up in late spring, through the fall. As fall approaches, the rifle powders start showing up, going through the spring. This statement, being highly generalized, of course. Exceptions abound.

I sure hope the powder producers aren't using any production capacity on the very slow-burning rifle powders. There seems to be enough out there to last through several powder shortages. I would guess that the medium-rate rifle powders are the most in demand. I hope they're staying up nights making it by the railroad carfull.

No doubt. There was no powder shortage - as long as you were shooting a 50 Cal BMG.
