mounting pentax gameseeker scope
Has anyone run into this problem? I just purchased a 3.5x10x50 gameseeker, going to mount it on my mossberg atr ,when I place it on the rings the front ring is into the bell of the objective. It,s only 5inches from the variable ring to the start of the bell, most scopes, even cheapo,s have at least 6inches.So my question is does someone make a front base that moves the recoil groove back towards the bolt? I really don,t want to take it to a gunsmith to have it tapped. They are weaver bases THANKS.

You can buy extended rings. One ring is extended so it can accomodate problems like you are describing.
