SP101 2.25"
The original post does not specify the reason why we love it so I was surprised that no one mentioned the Ruger SP101. I carry a snubnose concealed every day. Shoots great! I love it.

Either of my Smith and Wesson M-27's. I've had the 6" long enough I know how it shoots and feels in my hand. My new, to me, 5" has a great feel but I still need to shoot it some more before I can really get a feel for it.

Its hard for me to choose just one because they are all favorites to me for their particular purpose, for 6" revolvers it would have to be the KC and the GP100. For CC, I really like the Security Six, but also a 442 J frame carries even better.

My S&W 66-no 2.5 and my Ruger 3" Sp101 are my carry guns. I'm looking for the right S&W 65 3". That would be my favorite.

Of course , my favorite is my Colt Python , made the same year I was , 1960.
But some others in my safe are a 3-digit 1954 Colt .357, A 1956 pre-28 S&W Highway Patrolman, and a 1972 5in S&W Mod.27-2, |

Probably my 2.25" SP-101 DAO that I carried every day. It wasn't the easiest to shoot or shoot accurately, but it was the one I had with me all the time. And it was a fine way to launch 125-grainers since I could put them where I wanted to (after lots of practice).

357, lov'em. My favorite would be a toss up between my S&W model 19 six inch for fun shooting and my Ruger SP101 DOA for CCW.

My 2 Cents
I do not own all or even most of these, but this would be what I consider to be the best for what I do with a 357 in the order I would pick them in. 27 in a 3.5" (Old Model) Like Elvis, this is Timeless, and the King of 357's 340 with 24/7 Tritium Front Sight, In my opinion the best J Frame CC revolver made to date. 327 Night Guard Great CC Gun with 8 shots in an Airweight N Frame 386 Night Guard Great CC Gun with 7 shots in an Airweight L Frame 66 in a 3" WC GP100 3" Talo Special Edition 586/686 in a 3" or 2.5" 686 SSR 4" 65 Round Butt in a 3" 13 Round Butt in a 3" SP101 3" I Conceal Carry, and shoot my 38/357 revolvers in Defensive Pistol Matches. Thus I prefer the barrels to be on the shorter end of the scale. If I were to need a longer Barrel 357 My list would be way shorter. 27 in 5", 6.5" or 8 3/8" 28 in a 6" Ruger RedHawk 686 in either a 6" or 8 3/8" GP100 6" Just my 2 Cents Bob |

1>My first .357- A Ruger Security Six 4" Stainless with Pachmayer Rib and an action job that makes people blink and say "This is a RUGER?".
2>My Blued 4" M19 that is a joy to shoot. 3>My Ruger LCR which is so easy to carry and astonishingly easy to hit with. My 3 inch M&P Jframe is a delight to carry and makes a fine trail gun but I have to admit that I don't really like shooting it that much.
