+1 on this.
I've also had good experiences with S&B/Herter's Select ammo even though it gets a little smoky in an indoor range.

The only centerfire ammo that has ever given me any problems was WWB.

The last few boxes of RWS I have bought all say "Made in Hungary" on the box.

I have used maybe ten thousand rounds of .45 ACP made in Hungary ("Lake City" brand - the name is deceiving but the ammo is OK) without any misfires or failures of any kind, and it is as accurate as any other "GI" ball.

I suspect part of the problem is that U.S. factories have speeded up production in recent years to the point where some of the ammo is not as good as it should be, especially the low-price ammo, WWB and the like.

But the "high price spread" American ammo is as good as ever and neither better nor worse than equivalent quality ammo from foreign makers.

I stay away from S&B now. I had a .357 sig round rupture the case in front of the rim and carried away my Sig P226 extractor assembly into oblivion. I was going to contact them to see if they were interested in seeing the round and/or helping me with the cost of a new extractor, but couldn't find a U.S. contact # for them.

Fiocchi - Italian
Prvi - Serbia

Fiocchi has a plant here in the US, (Missouri maybe?). So what is on the shelf could be either domestic or import, probably depends on supply and geography[more likely to get import on the east coast than west of the Mississippi?].

Hopefully both plants are cranking out 9mm and they send a few extra boatloads over. I have had nice and consistent results with it, would like to get some more and try it out on other calibers too.
