Hi all,
I have a Browning BLR Model 81 made in Japan in .308, but I need a new barrel. Does anyone know where I can find one? I can't use the Belgian barrels. Thanks

Browning rifle barrel
Hey,Mississippi:
I think your best bet would be to take your rifle to a gunsmith, unless you have some 'smithing experience yourself.Rebarrelling these rifles is not a job for amateurs. If you want to try anyway, try Browning Parts and Service,3005 Arnold Tenbrook Rd.,Arnold,MO 63010. Phone: 314-287-6800 Fax: 800-817-4755 Hope that helps, and good luck! |

MR, I agree with JMB. Any barrel should be installed by a gunsmith with the experience and tools to do the job. You can e-mail me if you like. I'd be happy to install a Browning bbl or rebarrel the rifle using a quality barrel blank. George
