Scope mount

The eyes are getting old !! I need a mount for a Ruger Bisley, have seen a few guns with what looked like weaver base
mounts..The problem is Weaver has no base that works,so they say..Has anybody have any idea what will work on my Ruger ??
I realise that it will have to be drilled and tapped...

Bompa, talk to your local smith and see if he can cut the correct radius for it from a blank. I do a lot of that for different applications. If you don't have anyone near you who does this type of work, feel free to e-mail me. George

BOMPA,
YOU did not say if you had a BISLEY VAQUERO or a BISLEY BLACKHAWK? Either way it can be done, if it`s adj. site model weigand makes an excellent base in a weaver style you are looking at $30.00 for the base $25.00 for millet rings and $50.00 d&t plus return s/h, for Leupold $55.00 base and rings plus d&t and return s/h.

If it is a VAQUERO, $105.00 plus return s/h base and rings included.

Thanks guys but I must admit that I was looking for an inexpensive,do it your self sort of project.. Like to tinker an if possible do things myself.. So what I need is a flat botton long, about 4", mount base that I can use as a drill jig to install and use..This will go on a Blackhawk in 45colt and can't rule out
some hot loads now and then..

Bompa, Brownells www.brownells.com sells weaver blank bases. Thier 10" long and radiused so you'll have to cut to length, machine flat, drill for screws and cut the slots for the ring screws. But if Weigand sells a base for it then that would be a much easier way to go. George
