Remington 721 trigger too light.

I just purchased a "very clean" 721 in 270 serial number 3012xx.
98% original blue----stock minimal dings--

Came with weaver K3 and "tip off" scope mounts.

also has a reciever mounted "block" for a peep sight--peep sight did not come with gun.

Problem---bought the gun with intention of giving to son for hunting.

Trigger is "very light" 1-2# although great for target shooting -- I think too light for use in woods with gloves etc. Can the stock trigger be adjusted?
